2011
11) Feb. 18 "Le Beatnik-a-Go-Go" (featuring guest DJ Silver Top) Also note this event will have food provided by a different caterer. As a result, Mr. Marzetti will not likely be exposed on the table this time around. Pre-hysteria over this event has already resulted in more drama than Season 2 of "Dynasty". Will the lesbians be there? Will there still be chips and hunks? Will DJ Silver Top's mix live up to the hype? Will the speakers even work? Can we still have a Franberry Whine if Franberry isn't around? Who's cutting the vegetables? Will all the in-fighting put an end to all future dance parties?
12) March 26 "New Wave" Originally the group Curious Suspicion agreed to perform a live version of their single "Pineapple in the Freezer" ...however due to delays in the actual scheduling of the long-awaited event and uncertainty as to who would actually be present, the group decided to cancel. Rumours have been circulating that their last minute cancellation is due to the fact that the musical arrangement for this much anticipated number has not yet been properly prepared... a lack of professionalism on their part if you ask us!
13) April 29 "Sexy Party" Oh-la-la how does one (un)dress for this dance party? Manscaping is also encouraged a couple of days prior.
14) May 6 "Crazy Latino" (Confessional I) Based on the theory that gambling will in fact bring you closer to God. Success of this party depends on whether or not the ladies show up. Of course a radiation of 5 can be just as sweet... "Heavenly Sunlight, Heavenly Sunlight, Hallelujah! Jesus is mine!"
15) May 27 "70's Love Party" (Confessional II... only this time without all the Jesus tunes) Therefore Exorcist crosses should be returned into storage. Experience some of the lovin' before the 80's hit us (nudge, nudge, wink, wink) Success guaranteed if the dumb cousins bless us with their presence.
16) June 17 "Impromptu LDP" (Confessional III) Rediscovering how fabulous "Fab Friday" really was!!
17) July 16 "Just Another Pop Rock Song" With 90% new music that has never been featured at any prior dance parties. Undoubtedly, this event will prove to be a successful sequel to last year's CHOM Dance Party. Rock on, everybody! (Well the tapes have been re-worked and the 90% new music drops to about 80%... but simultaneously increases the wow factor by 10%. The addition of 3 or 4 Wild cards will also add to the pleasure!!)
18) Aug. 05 "Misfit Dance Party" 100% new music, like those Misfit Toys in "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" an entire evening devoted to all those songs that never quite fit into a theme or were just outright ignored for whatever reason. Come dressed as a reject, an outcast, or a nerd and dance your alienation away!!!
19) Sept. 02 "Quebecois Colisse" (Confessional IV) Doubting Thomases need not fret. This party will have you dancing and cheering. A surefire hit!! Frenching encouraged in the back room... and will the chip table have a special Poutine section? Only time will tell.
20) Oct. 22 "Anything Goes" This party will feature an abundance of never before featured tunes, as well as some old favourites. Will there be a new Led Zeppelin and/or Rolling Stones song? Are there even any left? Is cross dressing welcome? Will babooshka-wearing frumps be allowed entrance? Is nudity an issue? of course not! anything goes!
21) Dec. 31 "Best Of"
